Even the tiniest step will get you closer to your desired destination than no steps or movement. January 1 is a great time to set goals for the year as it marks the first day of a new year. But the truth is, you can start fresh every day. No matter where you are in life, each new day offers a chance to do and become better, including creating new positive habits.

A simple way to start is by making your bed. If you already do this, awesome! But if not, try it today with the intention that you will be doing this all the days that follow. It takes only a few minutes and can set a positive tone for the day. Even if you already make your bed habitually, consider adding a small touch—like straightening your sheets or comforter even more or decluttering your nightstand. Perhaps you can say words of affirmation aloud while you're making the bed. Small, intentional actions can create lasting habits, and you never know when one simple change might make a big impact on your life.
